During Atlanta’s recent A3C Hip Hop Festival, Grooveshark teamed up with the legendary Stankonia Studios and the Royal Flush/SMKA production team to create an exclusive mixtape. The mixtape features original songs from artists playing the festival as well as some hometown heroes, and will be available November 16 to stream for free exclusively on Grooveshark. Our friends over at SMKA recently invited our staff out to one of their notorious shows. Notoriously turned up to the max!!!!! We have attended plenty of shows but this one might have taken the cake with a long list of talented artists featuring Tom P, Grip Plyaz, Aleon Craft, Jackie Chain, Spodee (Grand Hustle), Jarren Benton, Playboy Tre, Backbone, Killer Mike and more. Each one of these artists did their part to ensure that the inaugural show at the Rabbit Hole was a success.

Congrats to our friends at SMKA whom have brought us hit after hit time and time again. This record “P.O.N” produced by SMKA will be featured on the Nappy Roots new album “The Pursuit of Nappiness” due to be released on June 15, 2010. The song was featured on the SMKA mixtape The 808 Experiment: Vol 2 and received such great feedback that the Nappy Roots decided to feature it on their upcoming album. SMKA has been busy!… 7King is on tour with B.o.B, and supplied guitar for the The Adventures of Bobby Ray, released last week (more on that soon).  808 Blake recently released Aleon Craft’s The Prologue Pt. 1 & 2. He is also producing Aleon Craft’s debut album, working with a bunch of other artists on various projects, and has been placing beats with major artists (more on that soon).  Artist Sensey has been engineering everything coming out of SMKA’s studio and is working on his debut project.  Mike Walbert has been in Egypt, and is now busy.
