Our friends over at SMKA recently invited our staff out to one of their notorious shows. Notoriously turned up to the max!!!!! We have attended plenty of shows but this one might have taken the cake with a long list of talented artists featuring Tom P, Grip Plyaz, Aleon Craft, Jackie Chain, Spodee (Grand Hustle), Jarren Benton, Playboy Tre, Backbone, Killer Mike and more. Each one of these artists did their part to ensure that the inaugural show at the Rabbit Hole was a success.

Once Killer Mike graced the stage the crowd went wild!!!! Not as if the crowd wasn’t already hype but this is Killa Kill from Adamsville. The performance was one of the first after Mr. Grindtime Rap Gang released the highly controversial video for the song “Burn” which (more…)

Enjoy the new Aleon Craft  “Sunday” video brought to you by SMKA and Esperanza ATL

If you missed “On the Verge”  held at the Legendary Stankonia Studios in Atlanta, Ga. then you shouldn’t hesitate to click on both of the associated videos. Fans were treated to a great event featuring some of the hottest artist in the city. Sponsors for the night included Conjure Cognac
and Coors Beer they both treated thirsty fans with their signature brands. Benny Demus (DJ for Akon, Producer, Artist) and Jas from The Atlanta Beat Battle stopped by as well. Ok Ok enough with the politicking this show was great and full of energy.

Maurice Garland was the host for the night and kept the crowd rocking by dancing with fans throughout the night. FKI (Producers of “Make it Rain by Travis Porter) kept the crowd moving with hits like “Red Cup”. Other featured artist included:

Recently Inside the Music was held at the legendary Stankonia Studio in Atlanta. Stankonia is the home to none other than Outkast and the Dungeon Family. Maurice Garland hosted this event, Aleon Craft rocked the crowd and featured a “friend” who came to join him on stage. Shouts out to SMKA!!!!!!

Aleon Craft formerly of the Backwoods has been on the scene for years and since connecting with SMKA he has been on fire. The combination so far has been great with some very creative collabos. Take a look at the new video entitled “Strange” (prod. SMKA) as this latest collab is one that you will enjoy.

Shouts out to Grip Plyaz,  Aleon Craft, Corey Davis, and everyone who had a cameo in Grip’s new video. Good to see the home team working and bringing together all of Atlanta’s music scene on this video. We see ya grinding and salute ya work.

Aleon Craft and SMKA team up once again to bringing fans quality vocals over Fiyah beats. I remember viewing their last collaboration deep in the bowels of Cenci where they combined forces for a great show. Their last project The Prologue can be previewed and downloaded via bandcamp Be sure to keep up with Aleon Craft and SMKA.  Contact Atlanta gives a big salute to this album so be sure to check it out.

The Prologue is a two-part introduction into Aleon Craft (the artist) and The Solar-Hop Chronicles (a collection of his music to be released in the future).  The Prologue Pt. 1 (Released Monday, March 15^th) is the first installment of the 2 part project (Part 2 out Monday, April 19^th).  Independently, The Prologue Pt. 1, and Pt. 2, is an incomplete representation of Craft.  Part 1 & 2 are two sides of the same coin.  Each project depicts a different side of Craft, and together they represent the range of music that he creates.  The project is split into 2 parts so that the listener can properly digest the music, and ideally have a better understanding of Aleon Craft, the artist.  Aleon Craft’s The Prologue will be release, in full, on April 26^th.

Rewind a few years ago, Craft was better known as “Big Marc,” of Da Backwudz.  The southern rap duo was signed to a major label (Universal/Rowdy Records), and he was working with some of the biggest producers and artists in hip-hop (ex. Nas, DJ Toomp, George Clinton, Organized Noise, Slim Thug, Dallas Austin, and many more).  Fast-forward to today, Aleon Craft, now a solo artist, has recently joined forces with SMKA (Marketing/Music Producers) and Esperanza (Branding/Visual Artists) to chronicle his work and life stories.  Craft has spent the past few years navigating the galaxy as an independent artist, and experimenting with music.  The Prologue Parts 1 & 2 are a collection of song that showcase the re-creation and re-introduction of the independent artist, Aleon Craft…and the project he is currently working on: The Solar-Hop Chronicles.
